How to use this site

We have attempted to organize the contents of this site, in a easy-to-use format.  Take a look around and see if you find something new and if there is something "you" may contribute.

This website is designed for and best viewed using Microsoft Explorer at 1024 x 768To to change your screen resolution on a PC, go to START > SETTINGS > CONTROL  PANEL > DISPLAY > SETTINGS & change the screen area to 1024 x 768 pixels. On a Mac, go to APPLE MENU > CONTROL PANEL > MONITORS in order to change the screen resolution.

We also recommend the internet text size set to medium.  You can adjust the size of the text on most Web sites by changing your settings in Internet Explorer.  To change the text size of Web Pages: Click on your View menu at the top of your Internet Explorer browser. Select: Text Size.

The main DVHH index pages are DVHH at a glance, Our Heritage, Finding Aids and Donauschwaben Network, and Donauschwaben Settlement regions are listed on every DVHH webpage.

The geographic areas where the Donauschwaben settled are Banat, Batschka, Hungarian Highlands, Sathmar, Syrmia | Slavonia, and Swabian Turkey, and are found on every DVHH webpage.  Each section will provide you with specific data for that region and is updated periodically.

If you can't find what you are looking for, search the DVHH using our Google search engine.  There are hundreds of web pages at the DVHH, searching a name, place or topic may yield you the results you are seeking.

They may contain a wide variety of items such as manuscripts, diaries, legal papers, correspondence, memorabilia, photographs, films, tapes, computer files, maps, drawings, pamphlets, and other forms of material.
