GARBER – Andrew (Andreas) Garber, of Frewburg, NY., died 23 February, 1972. Born 2 July, 1883 in Balinka/Palinka, Hungary (Eastern Bakony Forest/Hungarian Highlands). The son of late Andrew & Rosalia Stollar Garber and husband of late Anna Garber and brother of late Mrs. Frank Kozegi.  Survived by son, Charles Garber; daughters, Mrs. Michael Percy, Jr. of Frewsburg & Mrs. C. H. Larson of Binghamton; grandchildren, Michael Percy III, Carl Andrew Larson, Mrs. Joseph Ciolek, Jonathan Larson & Brent Larson; sister, Mrs. William Kohl of Garden City; and ten great-grandchildren. Buried in Maple Grove Cemetery. Jamestown Post-Journal. Submitted by Dan Larson.

GIES - Viola Gies Dienes , 86, of  Yardville, NJ, died 15 May 2009. Daughter of  late Anthony N. and Anna Remlinger Gies [Palankaer] and wife of the late Frank J. Dienes [Palankaer], and sister of the late Anthony J. Gies. Survived by two nephews, David A. Gies of Pennington, NJ and Stephen V. Gies (Godson) of Washington, DC; three nieces, Ann Taneyhill of Anaheim Hills, CA, Joan Cleven of La Crescenta, CA, and Patricia Urbanski of Trenton; one sister-in-law, Joan Gies of Pennington, NJ; a cousin, Miles J. Cannon (Godson) of Whiting, NJ, and many grand-nieces and grand-nephews. Buried at Our Lady of  Lourdes Cemetery. Palanka OSB Family #9621.  The Times, 16 May 2009 issue.

GIESSE - Julianna Giesse died on October 4, 2007 at the age of 84. She was the widow of the late Franz, devoted mother and mother-in-law of Norbert and Noelle, dear Oma of Matthew, Lauren and Thomas, fond aunt of Georg Dauterman. Services were held at Trinity-St. Andrews Lutheran Church followed by interment in Cypress Hills Cemetery under the direction of the Hess-Miller Funeral Home, 64-19 Metropolitan Avenue, Middle Village. GLOCK - Konrad Glock of Ridgewood died on March 17, 2009 at the age of 87. A native of Cervenka, Yugoslavia, he was the beloved husband of Maria and devoted father of Sibylle Ajwani and Susanne Eisner; also survived by three grandchildren. Services were held at the Morton Funeral Home/Ridgewood Chapels, 663 Grandview Avenue, Ridgewood, followed by cremation in Fresh Pond Crematory. Times Newsweekly, Ridgewood, NY. March 26, 2009.
