Emigrant Monument

The ceremonial speech at the Emigrant Monument was held by Dr. Walter Engel, Director of the Gerhart-Hauptmann-Hauses in Düsseldorf.  The crowd prevented me from getting a photo of the actual speech, but you can find it at this site: www.banater-schwaben.de/heimat.htm

At the monument, the Homeland Association of the Banater Swabia laid a wreath down.

We followed the Procession down to the banks of the Danube River, to the Emigrant Monument.
